Kelso Dunes   -   2002/09/29 Viewed 77 times this month, last update: 2002/09/29 On the way back from a short weekend in Vegas, I talked Vanessa into letting me take a quick detour through the Mojave. Just Kelbaker Road, through to 29 Palms. It added a couple of hours to our time, but it was fun, and beautiful, as always. One of my favorite places in all of the Mojave is the Kelso Dunes, which is just a couple of miles off Kelbaker road. The Kelso Dunes are tons of fun to play on, climb on, and roll down, but is quite exausting! This time, Vanessa and I did not climb up to the 600 foot peak, but were just visiting.
