Two days ago, my friend Michael got a brand-new shiny Toyota FJ Cruiser, so of course, yesterday we took it out to get un-shiny! We headed out to Anza Borrego State Park. Mike had a historical landmark he wanted to see, but couldn't get to in his old truck, so that made a great first location:



Next, we found a cool looking site in a book called the Pumpkin Patch. It looks like odd balls of hardened mud sediment formed, and now are being exposed as the old lake bed erode. Very odd!
